Location convenient to my business and personal focus points (MGH, Courthouse, Beacon Hill, Target, Interstate 93). Not too far from Boston Common and Downtown Crossing. Room - loved the comfortable king bed and, comfortable bedding. Bathroom - very nicely appointed from configuration, to fit out (higher end) and amenities (lovely towels and soap/shampoo line). Carpet could use a shampoo and high intensity vacuuming. Chair at desk could use sliders or low profile wheels. I could not move it without a struggle and tripped over it a few times after giving up on pushing it fully back under the desk. In small rooms like yours this kind of little touch makes a big difference. Sliders would be cheaper fix, but I would have preferred an armless ergonomic office chair on wheels. Bedside lighting is stylish, but so dim. Too bright for a night light, but nowhere near bright enough for reading. Not sure how that could be fixed cheaply except for increase on bulb wattage...and go from amber to soft white.

First and foremost the staff from top to bottom. Their kindness and professionalism is amazing and rare in the hotel world these days. From housekeeping to front desk to kitchen and dinning staff...could not have asked for more, especially over Christmas Eve and Day Thank you It's a great location and value interesting historic building I may make it an annual tradition for next year's holidays

Boutique Hotel, great customer service, clean, kind, friendly people. Rooms are small…it’s Boston, square footage comes at a premium! Bed was very comfortable! Great location, centrally located to hop on and off the T to get anywhere in the city! Would have been nice to have an outdoor area to sit and have coffee, but overall we would recommend The Boxer!

Elizabeth

Very nice building, clean, and welcoming. I stayed on a Wednesday night going to a Celtics game (we won). So I wasn’t able to get dinner from the restaurant at the hotel, but I did get breakfast (room service) it was delicious! And exceeded my expectations! A little pricey, but it was worth every penny!

Jessica

Great location. Walkable to bars, restaurants, shops & tourist attractions. Nice hotel bar. Had breakfast one day, due to a $20 credit applied, which was nice. Staff very helpful. Quiet air con. Close to train station for travel to airport for a few dollars.
